PE News

What a fantastic day it was on Tuesday this week at the Western Metro Regional Tee Ball Finals! The girls did an absolutely magnificent job to claim the pennant and qualify for the State Finals! The girls did their best all day and showed outstanding teamwork, support to each other and skill. It was great to watch and see how positive they were, especially when challenged or a mistake was made. Particularly considering that 9 of the 12 girls in the team are in Grade 5 and 10 of the girls were today playing their first real competitive game of Tee Ball.  The team started off with a close fought 9-6 win against Drysdale PS, second up we defeated Tarneit Rise with a solid 12-3 score. With our place in the final secure, we used our last Round Robin match to rotate positions, ending up with a 19-13 win against Williamstown. In the final we played a strong 'Footscray City PS' side with some powerful hitters. Our superior fielding and base running was the catalyst for a strong 13-4 victory.

Parent Helpers

Thank you to our ‘Mano’ families who helped out, we had many parents who jumped in to help where needed. Really above and beyond as usual from our Mano families. We also had lots of support, which the girls appreciated!

Well done to Mr Urquhart who will be hoping to go ‘Back to Back’ State Champions in  Tee-Ball. Will does a brilliant job in training the students to the skills, rules and supports the students with identifying strategies. Thanks Mr Urquhart
