Unit of Work

This term, our Unit of Work will explore the Wurundjeri People, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live, learn, and play. Students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the rich culture, history, and traditions of First Nations peoples. We will read and reflect on Dreamtime stories to learn how knowledge, values, and connections to Country have been passed down through generations. Through discussions, storytelling, and creative activities, students will gain a deeper respect for the Wurundjeri People and the enduring strength of First Nations cultures.
We will continue to work through the Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships Program (RRRR). This program supports schools and early childhood settings in promoting and modelling respect, positive attitudes, and behaviours. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience, and confidence.
Using the RRRR Program and with support from Open Parachute and Zones of Regulations, we aim to help build positive social interactions across our class and the whole school community.
