Acting Principal

Craig Kelly

Welcome back to Term 3! I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and enjoyable school holiday. It has been fantastic to see students return to school with enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward learning.

I am honoured and excited to be appointed as the Acting Principal at Charlton College for Term 3. Over the past few days, I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to begin meeting our wonderful staff and students, and to develop an understanding of all the opportunities the Charlton College offers to students.

Before my appointment at Charlton College, I served as Assistant Principal at Bendigo Senior Secondary College. Earlier this year, I took on the role of Acting Principal at Tyrrell College for Terms 1 and 2. My time at Tyrrell provided valuable insight into the operations of a rural P–12 school, and I’ve already noticed many strong similarities between the two communities.

Thank you to staff, students, and parent/carers for their warm welcome and I look forward to working with the Charlton College community over the coming months!

Welcome Nadia

Towards the end of Term 2, we were pleased to welcome Ms Nadia Collis to our school community. Ms Collis has taken on the role of Years 10–12 Coordinator and will also be teaching Humanities and English in the senior section of the school. We look forward to the expertise and enthusiasm she brings to our team and wish her every success in her new role.

DESPERATELY WANTED - OLD SUITCASES

For her Year 12 Art folio, Annie Olive is seeking some old suitcases to use as part of her artwork. If anyone has old suitcases similar to the ones in the images that they are willing to donate (it is likely that they may not be returned, as they will form part of the artwork) then we would really love to hear from you as soon as possible.

Colour, size and condition are not really an issue.

Please reach out to Annie Olive or Natasha Saunders if you can help. Thanks!
