I hope all our families have had a great start to the term! I am looking forward to witnessing all the learning our students will be doing this term! Remember how important attendance and being at school on time is for your child to be able to engage in and maximise their learning potential.
I also welcome you to our first, new digital newsletter platform! Unfortunately not all our families have taken the opportunity to embrace School Bytes. We look forward to the number of families that will utilise this digital communication to being 100%.
I urge you not to send/drop off or encourage your children to arrive at school before 8:30 am. It is parental/carer responsibility to ensure this does not happen and to keep children safe before school starts. Unfortunately parents needing to go to work is not an acceptable reason for dropping kids off early. There are services available that can assist with before and after school care. We cannot provide proper supervision before teachers are on duty. It has been reported to us that some of the students in the morning are engaging in unsafe behaviour. This includes throwing rocks at passing cars. Please speak to your child/children and let them know that if any student is identified as engaging in this practice they will be reported to the police.
We have been notified that our Preschool will be subject to Assessment and Rating on Tuesday and Wednesday. Authorized officers will observe practice and conduct interviews to evaluate our preschool against the National Quality Standard (NQS). This process aims to improve the quality of early childhood education and ensure families have access to quality information about their children's care. We look forward to maintaining and exceeding our previous rating and celebrate the ongoing commitment and hard work of our preschool educators!
