                              Writers' Festival

Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th September

Less than one week until our Writers’ Festival officially opens! Students have been busy adding the finishing touches to their ‘My Treasured Possession’ piece.

Parents and visitors are invited to our GP room to view all the finished pieces of writing on Wednesday afternoon until 4pm, and then 8.30-9am and 3.35-4pm on Thursday. Teachers will be taking their grades, during class-time, to view all the wonderful writing created by the students.

Hope to see you at our Writers’ Festival!

Nicole Werner is very excited to announce her very first Christmas Card competition and invite all primary school students in the Warrandyte electorate to submit their artwork for a chance to feature on her Christmas card this year, which will then be sent to every household in the electorate!

Please pick up an entry form from the front office, library or download using the attachment below. Completed entries can be returned to the office at school. This could be a fun and engaging activity over the Term 3 break!

The winning artwork will be displayed on the front of Nicole's official Christmas card, with drawings from the finalists featured on the back.

A few guidelines to follow:

  • Drawings should be in colour – the brighter the better!
  • Size should be within the box on the attached entry form – either portrait or landscape is acceptable
  • Feel free to include the words Merry Christmas or Seasons Greetings
  • Students can choose either a traditional Christmas theme or an Australian Christmas theme.
  • All entries are to be on the attached entry form, with parent/guardian permission completed

Congratulations to the following winners of the Book Week competitions.

These students got their certificates and prizes this week, if they didn't receive them during Book Week. Well done to everyone who had a go at entering. It was certainly tough to pick winners!
