Grade 5 and 6
Fundraiser for Animal Aid
Some of our Grade 5 students, Chloe, Harper, Harper, Mackie, Claudia, Callah, Amelia, Emily and Georgia held a fundraiser for Blue Cross! To raise funds, the group made a list of items to sell at school. All items ranged between fifty cents and two dollars. These items included:
- Dog biscuits
- Cat treats
- Bracelets
- Cupcakes
- Pom Poms
- Charms
We made over $400 dollars. Thank you to all the teachers, students and families that donated to our fundraiser! We couldn't have done it without you. Blue Cross was very grateful for our donations.
VSSS
Our Victorian State Schools Spectacular extravaganza was nothing short of, well ... spectacular! After months of rehearsals, extra practice, and perfecting every note, our talented students finally hit the big stage on Saturday. Two very long rehearsal days didn’t tire them out—instead, they brought even more energy! The performance was electric, with toes tapping, tunes from yesteryear ringing out, and our students giving it their all. They represented our school with passion, and a whole lot of heart. We’re bursting with pride—what a show!
District Athletics
District Athletics was a day to remember! Our selected students took on a variety of events, pushing themselves to the limit for the chance to qualify for Regionals. From sprints to jumps, everyone gave it their all, showing amazing determination and school spirit. Some students proudly came home with ribbons and awards, but the real win was the effort and sportsmanship on display. At the end of the day, every single participant was a winner in our eyes! What a great day for our school!
Hooptime
Senior Hooptime was a slam dunk! With hoops swishing, 3-pointers flying, and team spirit at an all-time high, our students put on an unforgettable show of basketball brilliance. Coaches were on point, and the players brought their A-game, leaving it all on the court in an intense knockout round robin competition. By the end of the day, they returned tired, hungry, and perhaps a little sore, but also full of new memories, connections, and a love for the game. A truly "ballin'" day all around!
Footy Day
Many sixes were scored on our Footy Day, which was a roaring success, thanks to the fantastic efforts of the Grade Sixes! They took charge, running footy clinics with students from all year levels, teaching them skills, drills, and loads of fun footy action. After an energetic morning, everyone was treated to a delicious lunch of hotdogs, a snack, and a drink, prepared by the Grade Sixes themselves. The whole school was buzzing with excitement by the time we got to the grand finale - the Team's Parade'. Best of all, we raised a great amount of money! It was a day full of fun, teamwork, and footy spirit!
CBL
What a way to cap off a term with a bang! Our CBL Challenge, "Smash Stereotypes, Ditch Discrimination, Push Aside Prejudice and Advocate for All," was an absolute showstopper. The students, working in creative harmony, took on the monumental task of crafting plays that tackled themes like being an Upstander, embracing diversity, and breaking down bias. From “Don’t judge a book by its cover” to “Accept people for who they are,” their scripts were as thought-provoking as they were heartfelt.
Characters leapt off the pages of picture storybooks and onto the stage, each one brought to life with props, backgrounds, costumes, and even some toe-tapping tunes. The performances struck the perfect balance between humour and depth, serious moments and brilliant wit. Their acting? A standing ovation-worthy spectacle that could rival the best of state theatre. This wasn't just a showcase—it was a masterclass in creativity, empathy, and respect.
Bravo to our talented students for their hard work, passion, and the powerful message they sent to everyone watching. What a meaningful, memorable end to a term focused on respect!
