Grade 3 and 4
What's Been Happening
As we find ourselves in the last week of term 3, it's a great opportunity to reflect and celebrate lots of learning and growth in the 3/4 classes. It's been an exciting couple of weeks exploring poetry and creating a poetry analogy along with deep diving into fractions, decimals with a great integration with researching and learning about the Paralympics and some of our outstanding Australian paralympic athletes! We have learnt so much about overcoming challenges and inclusion and our students have worked hard to research and create a presentation which is also part of our CBL challenge on Respect.
Sports/Footy Day
Excitement levels were high during Sports/Footy Day organised and ran by our grade 6 students. It was lots of fun to see our students taking part in the activities and the leadership shown by our senior school students. The parade at the end of the day was definitely a highlight a great way to end week 9.
Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden
During our final session of SAKG students harvested and cooked some delicious recipes including Potato Wedges, Mandarin and Barley Salad, Lemon Delicious Pudding and Potato and Leek Soup. The aromas in the kitchen were delicious as our students worked together with our amazing volunteers to cook up a storm!
We wish all our students and families a safe and happy spring school holidays and look forward to an exciting and fun filled term 4.
