šŸž Fatherā€™s Day Breakfast Fun! ā˜•ļø

What a heartwarming morning we had at our Primary School Fatherā€™s Day breakfast! Dads and their kiddos came together to enjoy delicious toasties and steaming hot coffees and hot chocolates and juices ā€“ the perfect way to start the day. The smell of melted cheese and fresh coffee filled the air, and the smiles on everyoneā€™s faces said it all!

But the fun didnā€™t stop at breakfast! We had a blast with a variety of games that brought out the competitive spirit in everyone. Whether it was a friendly game of toss or some light-hearted challenges, such as the paper plane flying competition, the dads and their kids made memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to Lauren Goodwin and all the staff who worked so hard to make this special morning happen. Your efforts brought joy to so many, and we appreciate everything you do! šŸŽ‰šŸ‘Øā€šŸ‘§ā€šŸ‘¦

šŸ° Prep ConcertĀ

The Prep concert, Living in a Fairytale, was held on Wednesday 11th September. It was held all over the school, with different areas being transported into fairytale lands. The outside of the office became the setting for Rapunzel's tower and Jack's beanstalk, the space outside the grade 6 rooms was home to the three little pigs and Little Red Riding Hood, and the library was transformed into the three bears' cottage and the ugly ducklings' pond.Ā

Tim, our performing arts teacher and creative director, weaved in the Big Idea of Respect to reimagine these known tales and how they could look if everyone showed kindness and care towards others. Tim's vision came to life in a spectacular way. The stormy afternoon only added to the sense of adventure that this tale took us on.Ā

Our Preps worked so very hard to learn their lines, many songs and lots of dance moves, and their talents were showcased on the night. We are so proud of the bravery, confidence and resilience that was on display. Many of our students worked through nerves and apprehension of performing in front of a large crowd, and they truly blew us away by conquering their their fears so determinedly!

We would like to thank Tim for his extraordinary talent, vision and enthusiastic direction of the show. He nurtured the preps so that they all felt that they could achieve. Another big thank you needs to go to Kristy Salisbury and her team of creative parents, for the coordination of sets, props and costumes. These elements enhanced their performance and allowed our students to really feel transported into their character and setting. There were many staff members who helped on the night, such as cooking the BBQ, serving our guests, assisting with the preps, taking photos, helping with sound and helping with the set up and pack up. We are thankful for everyone who contributed to making this a memorable event for the preps and the families.Ā
