A focus upon driving continuous school improvement

Parent Association

Joining the PA is a great way to get involved and make a difference in our school. We have many exciting fundraising opportunities on the horizon and would love to have you on board. Whether you have a lot of time to give or just a little, every bit helps and is greatly appreciated. No experience is needed - just a current Working with Children's Check and a willingness to contribute to our community.

As always, thank you for supporting the Parents Association. If you have any questions or feedback regarding any past or future events, please feel free contact Jess via email: upweysouthpta@gmail.com

Grandparents/Special Persons Day Bake Sale

Thank you to the 40 volunteers who supplied baked goods for the stall. If you attended the event, you might have been served by the very hard-working Michelle, Kathleen, Jayne, Janelle, Larissa or Jess. Grandparents, families and friends were spoiled for choice with an assortment of cupcakes, cookies, slices and cakes on offer!

We are proud to share that together we raised $1079 for the Upwey CFA.

Throughout this newsletter there are plenty of wonderful photos of the afternoon. A huge thank you to our special vistors who committed the time to visit our students across the afternoon.

Halloween Dress Up Disco Day

Excitement was high all day as students waited for their year level Halloween Disco!

It was wonderful to see so many fantastic costumes. We were fortunate to have 20 amazing parents volunteer their time from 8am - 2pm decorating the gym, applying tattoos/face paint/colour hair spray and serving icy poles.

You might have heard that we also had a special guest join us with some seriously impressive face painting skills - Anita - the Morris Road crossing lady!

Breakfast Club

We run Breakfast Club to ensure our students can have a healthy and happy start to their school day. All students and families are invited to enjoy some toast, cereal and fruit from 8:30am each Friday morning.

Volunteers wanted! If you are available 8 - 9am Fridays and have a WWCC, we'd love your help. No ongoing commitment expected.

Tasks include:

  • Setting up breakfast area
  • Prepare and serve breakfast
  • Clean up
