Congratulations Patrick

I have had an amazing couple of days at hockey.

Trials were very difficult but I was able to make it into the boy's western metro team. There were 3 districts combined with students from the Airport, Western and Southwest districts.

The Boys did really well and we came a close 6th.  If we won the last game, we would have come fifth but it was a 0-0 draw.

Overall, the team scored 15 goals, including 2 from me.  I was really happy with how I played considering I was playing new positions most of the time.

My goals were good but one of those goals was great. I was playing midfielder and the striker hit the ball into the opposition's foot and it was inside the circle. It was a short corner. Someone was hitting the ball into a person and I said I would be running in for deflections at the far post and that’s what I did. When the ball was shot from the baseline we all started racing towards the goals. I was still there for deflections and someone was hitting the ball and it was about to go out. I put my stick out and the ball deflected off my stick and in for a GOAL!
