Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair was a great success again this year with over $8,500 taken! Essendon North Primary School will receive a percentage of the takings in the form of Scholastic reward points which will be used to purchase resources for our whole school literacy program. Thank you to all the families that visited the fair and supported our fund raising. A huge thank you to the following amazing parent helpers who volunteered their time, and to the Year Five and Six volunteers who did such a great job manning the very popular novelty items table.

Book Week
Well done to all the students who dressed up this year - you all looked fantastic. The creativity blows my mind, and your participation warms my heart every year! If you missed the photo galleries in our last newsletter, please take a look here.
Our Book Week lunchtime activities were very popular again this year. Our activities were all based on books which were shortlisted for the 2024 Book of the Year Awards: Bowerbird Blues, The Concrete Garden and Gymnastica Fantastica.
Premiers' Reading Challenge
The Reading Challenge has now finished for this year. 125 students completed the Challenge and collectively read over 4200 books! Well done to all those students and their families. Certificates of participation will arrive in November and will be handed out during your child’s library session.
