Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

Third term will conclude THIS Friday, September 20th at 2:25pm. Children will be given a hot dog and a drink for lunch on Friday unless parents have advised us otherwise

(NO LUNCH ORDERS). The cost of this lunch is built into your fees and helps to offset the cost of our grade 6 camps.

Children may wear casual clothes but are encouraged to wear their footy colours and bring a gold coin donation. (Children wearing the Sydney Swans colours are exempt from the donation 😁.)

These donations will be sent to the “Fight Cancer Foundation” to support children with cancer.

Fourth term will begin on Monday, October 7th.

School Hats - we haven’t needed them very often yet, however, they are part of our school uniform particularly in 4th and 1st terms. Please ensure your child's hat is clearly labelled with their name.

COMMUNITY CONSULTATION The process for finding a new principal for our school is well underway. Our school’s Educational Consultant, Lee Schlooz has asked me to include a letter in today's newsletter inviting all parents from our community to complete a very brief online survey to help guide the deliberations of the panel that Lee will appoint to choose the next principal.

Applications for the position close on September 29th and the selection panel will meet during the first week of Term, with a view to making an appointment before the end of October.

HEALTH ALERT We have a new report of Whooping cough (Petusis) this week today.

The student is in Grade 5RO.

Whooping Cough is a reportable disease. Parents are reminded that you must notify the school where there is a positive diagnosis for this illness.

Parents are asked to remain vigilant where the kids have a persistent cough and have them tested to help us eradicate this illness from our community.
