Hot Air Ballooning

Recently, myself and our exchange students, together with some St Philip's students had the opportunity to go hot air ballooning.
With alarm clocks set early, we set off on an adventure just out of town.
We joined the team at Outback Ballooning Alice Springs as they drove us to the launch site.
We watched the sunrise over the horizon as we floated across the beautiful desert landscape. It was cool to see the land and its wildlife from such a unique POV.
We saw wild cattle, flocks of birds and kangaroos and their joeys, which the students really enjoyed, especially the exchange students where they don't see a kangaroo every day.
After the nerves at the start, it ended up being a peaceful and fun ride for everyone, with faces of awe and amazement, and lots of smiles. A great memory that will be remembered for a lifetime.
