Grade 2/3

Literacy
We have been learning about Dreamtime stories and their significance. Over the past few weeks, students created their own original narratives to explain something about the world or to share a message about getting along with others. After writing their stories, students worked in small groups to rehearse and perform their narratives. Well done to everyone for using great teamwork to share your stories with the class!
The Mornington Peninsula Shire invited students from Bittern Primary School to share their ideas about what young people would like to see in the local area. Our students did a fantastic job, coming up with a range of creative and thoughtful suggestions. Some of their ideas included more natural spaces for recreation and wildlife, bike and motorbike tracks, camping areas, upgraded library facilities, and more live music and community festivals.
Here are some of the postcards our students created to showcase their ideas.
