"Starting strong is good. Finishing strong is epic" - Robin Sharma
As we edge towards the end of the first term, I take note of this sentiment from Robin Sharma about how it is important to start strong but probably more important and rewarding for us all to work hard to finish the term strong and on a positive. We don't want to be a school that drags its feet to the finish line but one that where its students, staff and families help each other to continue to thrive and keep a positive mindset right up to the last hour of the school term.
It has been a long term and one with lots to celebrate. Kindergarten have had a great start to their schooling education and should be very proud of how quickly and seamlessly they have settled into school routines whilst displaying manners and positivity at every turn. It has been great to also see the Year 1 students grow and develop their skills and ability to produce some quality work that they are rightly so, very proud of. Years 3 to 5 students are to be commended for being inclusive, kind and supportive or their younger peers and of their own personal achievements in the classroom.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Valerie Ham our newly inducted School Captain and Leroy Weatherall our School Leader. I have every confidence that you will do yourselves proud and carry out your role with expertise and humility. I look forward to working with you to implement some of your ideas and initiatives during the
Thank you
It has also been a long term for the teaching staff and they also have lots to celebrate!! A lot of time is spent behind the scenes to provide differentiated, engaging teaching and learning activities. Mrs Grayling and Mrs Makeham's genuine care and dedication to the education of the students at Niangala is mammoth and I know they are genuinely excited by many of the small and large achievements of the students in not only their academics but in all areas of schooling.
Mrs Wall, is a stealth backbone of our school!! She quietly goes about many tasks that make the day of a student (and staff or family member) at Niangala much more comfortable and pretty hassle free! From not only emptying out the compost bins each day but washing them too, helping out with uniform malfunctions or forgotten hats - Mrs Wall is there - helping. I for one couldn't manage without all the administration tasks that Mrs Wall so wonderfully helps out with. Often, I keep Mrs Wall late into the afternoon running by her my latest scenarios, implementation plans, policies procedures or general questions.
Mrs Higgins, Mrs Hunt and Miss Dunn provide much needed assistance to the smooth running of the school and the classroom. Again, I have so much gratitude for Mrs Higgins, Mrs Hunt and Miss Dunn for all they do without fuss or needing 'a gold star'. Their positive energies are uplifting and add to the essence of the school.
End of Term Celebrations
We will take time to celebrate our achievements and successes on the last day of term with an Easter extravaganza!! It will be a day of fun and a time to enjoy each other's company and participate in some different learning activities and games. I have heard a rumour that there might be chocolate involved too! Not promising anything though because if I find where it is hidden it may be drastically reduced!!
I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
