 Upcoming Rehearsals

Year 7 Chase Cartoon Assignment

Students in Year 7 were given the exciting opportunity to create a visual chase using various mediums including drawing, animation, film, stop-motion animation, and collage. It is heartening to see the hard work and dedication displayed by many students in their approach to this task.

Numerous students filmed their projects during lunchtime, enlisting friends from other classes, while others involved parents and siblings in their home productions. The most engaging submissions were those where students infused their own interests and personalities into their work. Here is a glimpse of the creativity on display. Well done to the Year 7 Drama cohort for your impressive efforts!

Intermediate Drama Ensemble

I am excited to announce that Michael Krizan (HSC Drama class of 2024) will be joining us for the next three weeks during our ensemble slot. Currently enrolled at Sydney University, Michael is studying Media and Communications and is passionate about pursuing a career in theatre as a scriptwriter and director. Having co-taught the Junior Drama Ensemble in the past, he brings valuable experience to our group.

During this time, Michael will assist me as we delve deeper into the concepts of status and the theatrical form of Melodrama. Our students will continue to build both skills and friendships while creating their own content for performance. They will also learn the importance of being both an actor and a supportive audience member.

We look forward to an inspiring and productive few weeks.
