As Catholic Schools Week approaches I take the time to reflect on the privilege of working in a Catholic school and I am reminded of the profound impact it has on my own faith journey and professional life. For me, being part of this community is not just about education; it's about fostering a sense of purpose and belonging that is deeply rooted in our shared Catholic traditions and Gospel teachings. This year, we will kick off our Catholic Schools Week celebrations with a whole school liturgy on Monday, 3rd March at 8:40am. This celebration is an excellent opportunity for us to come together as a community, reflecting on the importance of Catholic education in our lives.
Lent is also just around the corner. As we move into the season of Lent, we prepare ourselves for the journey towards Easter. This period of reflection and renewal begins with Ash Wednesday, which falls on 5th March. This year we will celebrate Ash Wednesday by joining our parish for Mass. I warmly invite all parents to join us for Mass in the church. The students in Years 3, 4 & 5 will attend the Mass at 9:00 AM and the students in Kindergarten Year 1, 2 & 6 will attend the 12:00 PM Mass.
Finally, a sincere thank you to all parents who have already completed the Catholic Identity survey and a kind reminder for any parents who would like to support us in completing it. Your input is invaluable in helping us understand and strengthen our school's Catholic Identity.
I extend my gratitude to all parents for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community. Your involvement reinforces the sense of unity and shared purpose that makes our school such a special place.
God Bless,
