Year Two Excursion

This term, the Year Two students were busy exploring the question “What could we learn from different stories and cultures from the past?” To continue to strengthen their knowledge, we booked an excursion to Bundoora Park Heritage Farm on Thursday, 7th March. Students explored what life was like for some in the early 1900s, including housing (preparing scone dough, feeding animals), schooling, and games (rolling garden pots). They also participated in an ‘olden day’ school session. Students had an amazing day !

Year Three Incursion

The Year Three students this term investigated the question "How Did Earth's Rotation Shape Our Day-to-Day Lives?". To assist them with their learning, we had booked an incursion run by Fizzics Education.

Students explored the following questions:

  • How did the Earth, Moon, and Sun work in the Solar System?
  • How did Earth’s tilt affect the seasons?

They also gained an appreciation of astronomy and gained insight into our place in the Universe.
