2025 World Challenge Expedition
Amazing Travel Opportunity for our studentsâŚWorld Challenge Nepal!
Frankston High School is excited to announce that we are offering another amazing opportunity for our current 2024 Year 9 and Year 10 students to apply for our Nepal World Challenge Expedition in 2025.
Why Nepal?
We have partnered once again with the international travel company, World Challenge â our long time collaborator in student-led overseas trips, for a 4-week expedition to Nepal, departing in November 2025. Students will travel together with our highly experienced Frankston High School staff team and World Challenge expedition leaders. Our expedition last year in NovemberâDecember 2024 was extremely successful, and the feedback we received from parents/carers and students was overwhelming. Students loved the experience and many have formed amazing friendship and bonds with their expedition team mates and with the people they met in Nepal.
Â
Nepal is our chosen destination once again because it offers something for everyone; combining Himalayan trekking, golden temples, charming hill villages, wonderful community immersion activities such as a farm stay and a community engagement project, as well as jungle wildlife safari opportunities.
Why go?
Students who choose to participate in World Challenge Nepal will experience an 18 month-long journey that involves fundraising, destination research, team building, and pre-travel organization prior to the trip. Once in Nepal, students complete four phases of the expedition experience:
- Acclimatization
- Community Engagement
- Trekking and
- Rest/Relaxation.
During each phase, students are given the opportunity to build up their confidence, leadership and communication skills, independence and resilience while immersing themselves in a rich cultural landscape. Essentially, students have an opportunity to become global citizens.
STAY TUNED
Parents/carers and students will have the opportunity to find out further details at an upcoming Parent and Student Information evening that will be held for current Year 9 and 10 students in Term 2.
