IMPORTANT INFORMATION

FOR SACRED HEART FAMILIES

IMPORTANCE OF SIGNING YOUR CHILD IN AND OUT OF SCHOOL

Parents and visitors must access the school grounds through the front office so that administration staff are aware of their presence onsite.

If you drop your child off at school after 8:50am, please ensure that you go to reception to sign your child in on the Compass Kiosk. If someone other than a parent is signing them in, please ask the adult to report to reception, and Ms Traynor will add them on Compass.

If you or anyone else is collecting your child before 2:45pm, please enter through the front office to sign your child out, and Ms Traynor will arrange for your child to come to the office.

Please follow these essential procedures to maintain the safety of your child and all of the students at Sacred Heart School.

TERM 1 SCHOOL FEES

This is a reminder that Term 1 School Fees were due on 24th March. Please pay these fees as soon as possible or arrange a meeting with Mrs Ryan to discuss this further.

ANZAC DAY MARCH

The President and Boggabri RSL Sub Branch Members have invited Teachers and Students to march on Anzac Day, 25th April 2024. Students who wish to march with the school will meet Mrs Ryan and assemble at the Boggabri RSL Memorial Club at 8.15am to commence the march to the Cenotaph at 8.30am.

Our school captain will recite the Prayer for the King, and our Year 6 leaders (Grace and Emily) will lay a Wreath with Mrs Ryan in honour of our school.

Students will need to wear their full winter uniforms for the march. When they arrive, Mrs Ryan will pin some Rosemary onto each child's collar. We hope to see as many students as possible attend the march and commemorative service representing our school.

UPCOMING PUPIL FREE DAY REMINDER

PUPIL FREE DAYS ~ MONDAY 29TH & TUESDAY 30TH APRIL.

The Sacred Heart School staff will attend a two-day Professional Development workshop facilitated by Dr Lyn Sharratt. Lyn is a highly accomplished practitioner, researcher, author, and presenter from Canada. She has worked alongside the Armidale Catholic Schools Office for eight years. As a system, we have learnt about the "right things to do right" to achieve effective district-wide improvement. We have also learnt how to increase achievement levels for all students, for all teachers, and in all schools by putting FACES on the data.

The upcoming workshops will focus on "Unpacking the Assessment Waterfall Chart" and include learning walks and talks at St Xavier's School, Gunnedah.

YR 6 SHIRTS

The Year 6 shirts should arrive by the beginning of Term 2. To receive your child's shirt in Term 2, please make payment by clicking on the event in Compass before Monday, April 29th, 2024.
