Learning in V8

In V8, we have been learning about place value in our Maths lessons by participating in lots of different activities. The students have had the opportunity to play Number Chart Puzzles and also puzzle games that help them to recognise different 3 and 4 digital numbers in word, visual, expanded and numeral form. As you can see from the pictures the students have been really enjoying this.

Also, in V8, we kick off each morning with a dose of positivity by delving into the celebration of National Days. On Wednesday the 8th of April, we embraced the spirit of National Draw a Bird Day! Given the artists we have amongst our V8 students, we embarked on a guided drawing session featuring none other than the majestic Bald Eagle. As you can see in the pictures. Some amazing drawings!

SA Police Band

Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from the SA Police Band. They chatted with all students about what constitutes an emergency, how to contact SAPOL, about the role of Police and how they are friends to the community. They also played some fabulous tunes including the popular themes of Bluey and Ghostbusters, some Katy Perry songs and Disney tracks. Thank you to Miss Jacqui for organising to have the band visit us.
