Harmony Day

Thursday 21 March

Harmony Day – Thursday 21 March

Fairfield Primary School will be celebrating Harmony Day on Thursday 21 March

Harmony Day is a part of Harmony Week (18 – 24 March), where Australia’s cultural diversity and multiculturalism is celebrated. The message of Harmony Day is 'everyone belongs'. It is an inclusive celebration, recognising a sense of belonging for all Australians, from the Traditional Custodians of the land to those who have come from many countries around the world.

How will we celebrate Harmony Day?

Students are encouraged to wear orange, the official colour of Harmony Day.

Year 6 students will host lunchtime activities for students across the school. Activities including a disco, making friendship bracelets, designing flags, and playing interactive games with a parachute.

In addition, some Year 6 students – Lucas, Will, Felix, and Joel – have written a proposal for a school fundraiser for 'Médecins Sans Frontières' (Doctors without Borders) as a worthy charity to support. We encourage students to bring along a gold coin donation on Thursday 21 March to support this wonderful charity.

See you in orange!
