GoalBall

This Term, our year five and six students will have the chance to participate in a lesson of GoalBall. This is a program that utilises a ‘reverse inclusion’ model to help educate students on disability awareness, inclusivity, empathy, teamwork, communication and physical literacy using goalball as the medium. The program allows students to be on an even playing field and to have hands on experience as to some of the challenges of living with a disability.

What is GoalBall?

GoalBall is a paralympic sport which was invented in 1946 for World War 2 veterans who suffered loss of vision or vision impairment injuries. This program is all about building awareness of vision impairment and helping students to develop their resilience and personal development.

These lessons will take place on Friday 5th April.

Team Sport Trials

Congratulations to Fetuli (Year 6) who has made the Parramatta Diocesan Rugby League. He will now trial in Canberra on May 10th. Good Luck Fetuli!
