From the Leadership Team

Dear GPS community,

As term one draws to a close, I take the opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the entire school community for making my first term here at our beautiful school such a positive one. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the school community; children, staff and families and excitedly look forward to the coming years together.

Our school provides such rich and meaningful opportunities for its students and has so much potential to build on this as we continue our journey together. Throughout the term, staff have come together regularly to plot our course forward, with many exciting and innovative plans to further enhance the opportunities we provide for not only our students, but the entire school community as a whole.

It has been a term jam-packed full of exciting events and opportunities both inside and outside of classrooms and we are all looking forward to a break to reset and refresh before we launch into term two.

Finally, I would like to highlight and thank the wonderful staff group we have here at GPS. It has been my absolute honour to join this team of amazing and dedicated professionals. Their child-centred approach to everything they do is remarkable and as we continue to work and learn together, our school’s motto of ‘The Sky’s the Limit’ has never been more accurate!

On behalf of the entire GPS staff team, I wish all of our families a happy, restful and safe end-of-term break and look forward to joining you all again on Tuesday, April 30 as we begin term two as a learning community.

Kind regards,

Darren

Children's University

Over the past few years, we have successfully run the Children's University program at Greenwith Primary School. This program has been run under the guidance of a Coordinator and the administrative back-end requirements are extensive.

Regretfully this year we do not have a Coordinator and therefore due to the extensive time involved in managing the program, supporting our students, and recording the activities online, we are unable to offer it to our school community at this time.

School Fees

Thank you to everyone who has paid their school fees for 2024. This is a reminder that if your school fees are outstanding for 2024, they are due to be paid in full by Friday, 12 April (end of term 1). Please pay via the Qkr! app.

The SA Government has once again provided a rebate of $100 for all students who have their school fees paid in full by the due date. This means the 2024 school fees invoice will be broken down into 2 amounts. The standard sum (compulsory to pay and legally recoverable) total of $287.00 and the voluntary contribution of $83.00. The standard sum minus the government rebate will only leave $187.00 compulsory to pay. All voluntary contributions received are greatly appreciated.

Please contact our Finance Officer if you wish to enter into a part payment agreement. All part payment agreements need to be in place by the end of term 1 to avoid overdue notifications and must be paid in full by the end of term 2 2024.

If you believe you are eligible for School Card, please submit your application online as soon as possible to allow the School Card team time to process the application. It is important to note that a new application is required for each school year.

If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact our Finance Officer.
