Introducing David Foley and Tandy Johnson

Principal News - Term 3 Week 9

Wow, what an amazing jampacked week we have had! It started on Sunday with a fabulous turnout of families to help improve the school at our Term 3 Working Bee. Over 300 plants were planted, and garden beds mulched. Pathways were cleared and our Prep- 2 sandpit no longer looks like an abandoned mine. The cubby houses got a fresh coat of paint, and the assembly area decks also received some TLC in being freshly stained. They look and smell great as one wanders past. Thank you to Seth once again for leading the team of helpers and to Kimberly for cooking the snags that everyone enjoyed between shifts.

On Tuesday the year 5 students enjoyed seeing lots of what they have been learning about the goldfields on their excursion to Sovereign Hill. It was perfect weather to be in Ballarat (this was a stroke of luck!) and to see the students panning for gold, making candles and seeing gold poured to produce a bullion. It was a wonderful day!

Wednesday was our traditional footy day. The parade was awesome with students dressing in their team colours of the league they follow. The House Captains led this event and did a wonderful job. Whole school parades bring everyone together and they certainly are a highlight for our students. The students excitedly enjoyed a special footy day lunch put on by the PFA that included a custom cookie. Thank you to Tiffany for making the cookies. Thank you to Kimberly for once again coordinating a whole school lunch event. These events take a lot of work and organisation, and it does not go unnoticed by our school! The students loved it and the PFA helped to make the day very special for our students.

Wishing you a lovely weekend and see you all back next week for our final week of Term 3! Hard to believe but it’s almost here.

2024 PFA PROGRAM UPDATE

  • A survey is being developed to better understand ENPS family opinion on volunteer involvement at the school, e.g. working bees, also regarding Mothers and Fathers Day stalls, 2026 and recurrent events, social events, financial contributions, and where we want fundraised money to go. Look out for the survey over the coming weeks and SHARE YOUR VOICE!
  • Working bee! Thanks so much to all the volunteers, especially Seth and family for all the organising work. We planted around 300 plants; moved 6m3 of sand into sandpits; painted the three cubbies; mulched garden beds; cleaned pathways; stained the assembly decking AND fed the teams with a sausage sizzle. Keep an eye out for Term 4 working bee announcements.
  • Footy day lunch! 400+ kids came through the canteen window and were served in under one hour. A big thanks to everyone who helped and HUGE HUGE thanks to Tiffany for the cookies and Kim for steering the ship.
