Year 7 & Intermediate Basketball
Our year 7 & Intermediate basketball teams represented our school proudly on Thursday both on and off the court.
The year 7 girls had a tough start to the day coming up against a stronger St. Joes, Echuca outfit. They bounced back well after the loss and showed great determination in their next game, finally drawing with SMOTA (St Mary's of the Angels)
The year 7 boys had a successful day out, taking a couple of strong wins against Echuca College and Kyabram P-12 and eventually overcoming a challenging SMOTA. They battled hard in the final game against St. Joe's, which was the decider for first place, unfortunately falling just short.
Our intermediate girls finished top of their pool, taking hard fought wins against Echuca College and Kyabram P-12. They won their way through to the first place cross over, unfortunately losing to St. Joes.
Our intermediate boys came up against Echuca College in their preliminary round, who jumped out to an early lead. Our boys showed great courage to reduce the deficit but couldn't get over the line. They played off in the 2nd place cross over against SMOTA. The boys played a brilliant team game and gave their all, finishing the day with a win.
Well done to all teams. We are so proud of the spirit in which you participated today.
Sincere thanks to our coaches; Ava Cottam, Bailey Wileman, Miss Kellett and Mr Thorn.
