THREATENED SPECIES BAKE OFF
On Friday, September 6, the Humanities department hosted the 'Inter-SEAL Threatened Species Bake Off' competition.
The task was to create an edible likeness of a threatened species (animal or plant) at greatest risk of extinction.
This event brought together students in Years 7, 8, and 9 SEAL Humanities classes to showcase their creativity and baking skills (cakes and sweets) of threatened species.
Following the impressive display of talent, our winners, along with some specially selected teacher bakes, will be submitted to the statewide 'Bake Off' competition.
Congratulations to our winners:
- 1st: Tahira Craig, Nayeli Craig and Tilly Hills (Year 8)
- 2nd: Austin Connor and Dylan Weinert (Year 8)
- 3rd: Dylan Goschnick (Year 8)
- People’s Choice - Fletcher Palfreyman and Noah De Pedro (Year 9)
It was truly inspiring to see the effort the students put into their creations to raise awareness about the importance of preserving Australia's unique and endangered species.
