Dear Parents and Carers,

We'd like to remind you all about the upcoming Police Talk for parents. These discussions provide valuable insights and strategies for keeping your child safe online.

Update on Phone Procedures for Year 5 and 6

Starting this week, we will be implementing a change in our phone procedures for Year 5 and 6 students. In an effort to reduce phone use in the school grounds and manage the increasing number of devices, we ask that students hand in their phones upon arrival at school.

There will be two designated tubs at the office with a sign-in register. Students will place their phone in the tub and sign in their device. These tubs will be taken to classrooms and phones will be stored securely in lockboxes until they are returned to the students in the afternoon.

This change is to prevent phones from being placed in lockers, where students may be tempted to use them during the day. 

Please remind your child of these changes, and we thank you for your continued support in maintaining a phone-free school environment.

We will be trialing this system for Year 5 and 6 for the time being, and we will keep you updated on any further developments.
