Boarding

The past fortnight has been active academically and socially across the Boarding House. Our Year 12 leavers dinner was an emotional and inspiring evening for students and staff. To see the depth of relationships that the students have formed over their time in boarding was a privilege, and to hear stories of how much the connections have meant, was a reminder of the impact boarding has on the lives of our girls.

The Boarding “In Conversation with Jane Danvers” was well attended and parents learned about the strategy of the school and the vision moving forward. Principal Danvers recommended the book, The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, as reading that is valuable for all parents of young women.

We have had confirmation that Fernbank will commence its refreshment at the beginning of December, therefore all boarders will spend the final week and a half of the school year in Tivoli. There is a lot of excitement that we will finish the term all together and that the Year 10 and 11 students will have an opportunity to stay in the dorms they were so familiar with in their junior years.

Finally, I wanted to remind parents that boarding staff are available to take calls or emails whenever there are questions or requests. For daily inquiries please contact the relevant house phone or email:
