Enviro Edu
Late in term 3, the Lower Primary school was treated to a demonstration of wildlife by a local group called Enviro Edu. It was both interesting, exciting and even scary for some, as we viewed, and touched, a live crocodile, an amazing long necked turtle, a Murray Darling Python, a little known creature called a Brushtailed Bettong and a Ring-tailed possum. Many of these creatures are on the endanged list and students were made aware of the need to protect our animals, both from human predators and other animals such as cats. Afterwards, students wrote enthusiastic reports which showed how much they enjoyed the presentation and that they learned lots from it!
