eSMART MATTERS

BY ROWAN WALKER (eLearning Coordinator)

Digital citizenship is about using technology and the internet safely, responsibly, and ethically. As a Christian school, we believe it's crucial to approach this topic through the lens of our faith and values.

What is Digital Citizenship?

Digital citizenship encompasses how we behave online, interact with others, and represent ourselves in digital spaces. It involves:

- Behaving lawfully and ethically online

- Protecting personal privacy and managing one's digital reputation

- Considering how online activities affect oneself and others

A Christian Perspective

As Christians, we are called to be salt and light in the world, including the digital world. This means:

- Treating others with respect and kindness online, just as we would in person

- Using our online presence to spread positivity and God's love

- Protecting the vulnerable and standing up against cyberbullying

In the coming weeks, we'll explore various aspects of digital citizenship and how we can guide our children to be responsible digital citizens who reflect Christ's love in their online interactions.
