Please be reminded of the upcoming mid-term break. Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th November (Public Holiday). School will resume on Wednesday, 6th November.
SUN SMART INFORMATION
Don't forget your drink bottle!
As the weather begins to warm up, we ask that families ensure to please pack one or two full drink bottles to school each day.
Students are permitted to take a water bottle in to their classes with them.
Hats are to be worn by all students during recess and lunch times. SPF 30+ plus broad spectrum, water resistant sunscreen should be applied daily before going outdoors.
Daily temperatures should not be used as a guide to when sun protection is needed. When the temperature is cool, it means there is less infrared radiation, but UV levels can still be high. You can check the UV level forecast here.

NEW DUAL PURPOSE AREA- Upper Carpark/Year 5-6
Over the term break, works have been undertaken to asphalt the upper carpark area, above the Primary School. From next week, this will become a dual-purpose area and will be used as follows:-
PARENT CARPARK - AM & PM ONLY
Parents can use this area as a parking space between the following times:-
AM – Up until 9:15 am
PM – From 2:30 pm onward
All other times – Strictly No Parking
Due to the sports netting screen, the maximum vehicle height limit to access this area is now 2.8 metres.
YEAR 5-6 COURTS
During the school day, this area will be blocked off and used as a play space for our Year 5 & 6 students.
Basketball and netball rings have already been installed, while court line marking will take place over the Melbourne Cup long weekend in November.
Sports netting has also been installed. This screen will be closed from 9:15am which will block this area to vehicles during the school day and will be opened by 2:30pm to enable parent parking for kinder and school pickup.
HELPING KEEP THE CARPARK SAFE
We would like to ask everyone in our community to be courteous and polite to staff and other families. Modelling considerate, patient and kind behaviour for our students.
Please be reminded:
- Hold hands with young children when traversing around the carpark and when crossing the road
- Only cross at the designated crossings
- Keep one large step back from the edge of the footpath while waiting to cross the road
- Only cross the road when instructed by a crossing supervisor
