PUSHING FORWARD TOGETHER

Welcome to Term 4! This week, I've been thinking a lot about the amazing history and legacy of BHCS. I’m really grateful to be part of a team that’s building on the strong foundations laid over the past 41 years. 

Building a Christian school is not easy. It takes vision, courage, determination and faith. Attributes that have been so evident in the many heroes of BHCS who have built our school into the amazing place it is today. BHCS wasn't created by just one person; it’s been shaped by many dedicated people over the years. What’s always stayed the same is having Christ at the centre of our school.

Story is at the heart of the BHCS culture! Over the years, Belgrave Heights Christian School has seen countless individuals transformed, each showcasing the incredible dedication and commitment of our teachers, staff, and community. We've cheered on our students as they’ve grown academically, spiritually, and personally, and now they’re out there making waves as leaders, innovators, and active contributors to society. So many life stories are beautifully intertwined with the positive God-inspired impact of Belgrave Heights Christian School!

We find ourselves at a unique juncture, where we continue to build on our legacy while adapting to the ever-changing world around us. Even as that world becomes increasingly hostile towards Christian education, our commitment to Christian values, academic excellence, and our close-knit community will remain as strong as ever. We’re staying true to our mission, perfectly captured in our vision statement: “Knowing Christ, Inspiring Learners, Transforming Lives.” Let’s keep pushing forward together!

I’d like to encourage our community to lift up one of our BHCS heroes, former Principal Andy Callow, as he recovers from a serious heart attack in hospital. Many of you may not be aware of his situation, but we’ve been heartened to hear some positive updates on his recovery this week. However, he still has a long road ahead to heal fully. Your prayers truly make a difference, so let’s come together and pray for Andy’s healing and strength during this challenging time. He has given so much to our community, and now it’s our turn to support him!
