School Savings Bonus

Hopefully, you had a chance to read my Compass post last week. If not, it is important to do so. To ensure you are eligible to receive the $400 School Savings Bonus, make sure you have updated your enrolment information at the office. The Department of Education will send the voucher for these funds to the details that the school has on file. If you are unsure, please contact the school to confirm. We want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to use the $400 bonus.

You can find more information about the $400 School Savings Bonus on Compass. Search your News Feed for my latest post.

Life Education Information

At some point during the first 3 days back, your child will participate in the Life Ed education program. The programs our students will engage in are:

Lockdown Drill

Today, our school will conduct a Lockdown drill. Teachers and students have been informed of the procedure.

Our focus will be on listening to instructions from their teacher and responding calmly and efficiently.

Emergency drills are an important and compulsory practice each term. We review each drill to improve our management. Some drills are announced to students, some are partially announced, and others are unannounced. This helps ensure we are as prepared as possible if we ever need to enact a real lockdown.

Working Bee

Thank you to all the generous volunteers who attended our most recent working bee. The team accomplished an incredible amount of work! The grounds look fantastic, the Sensory Garden is ready to be re-planted, and our new flagpoles now have a lovely, clean space waiting for installation.

Keep an eye out for more changes around the school. We hope to see you at the next working bee!

Community Breakfast

What a fantastic turnout! It was a lovely morning before school on Wednesday, and the sun gave us just enough warmth to enjoy the event outside in the Sensory Garden. We had many community members join us for breakfast and a chat. It was another lovely reminder of how special our community feels.

A big thank you to Christina for making the pancake mix from scratch, and to Natalie and Clare for setting up and cooking the breakfast for everyone to enjoy.

End of Term

I hope you and your children enjoy the term break. I say it most terms—I hope you find the time, whether you're taking a break from work yourself or not, to spend some extra moments together as a family. I’ve spoken to many students about the upcoming break, and many are excited to spend more time with you.

A quick reminder that the end of the school day is 2:30 p.m. We will hold our assembly at 2:00 p.m. If needed, TheirCare (Out of School Hours Care) will be available.

Enjoy the term break!

Warmly,

Tim Mulhall
