From Ambulance Victoria:
Swooping season, adjusting to daylight savings, hay fever hell, and not knowing whether to wear winter clothes for the morning or summer clothes for the afternoon – it’s spring in Victoria. 🌼 😎 🤧
So here is your reminder that it’s a great time to update your asthma action plan. Asthma can affect people of all ages, and if left unmanaged, it can turn into a serious health issue. Visit your GP and they’ll help you to create a personalised plan that fits your needs.
Adults should update their asthma action plans yearly – for children, it’s recommended every six months. Following your asthma action plan can help prevent emergencies.

From Asthma Australia:
It’s that time of year again – our furry friends are shedding their winter coats, and suddenly, pet hair is everywhere! 🐶🐱 As much as we love our dogs and cats, all that extra fluff can mean more pet dander in the air, which can be a sneaky asthma trigger.
If you’ve noticed more wheezing, a tight chest feeling or puffing lately, your pet’s spring shedding could be to blame. 😮💨 But don’t worry – we’re not saying you need to banish your best mate outdoors! Simple things like regular brushing, vacuuming, and keeping your bedroom a pet-free zone can reduce your exposure to this trigger and help keep your asthma well-controlled during shedding season!
And don’t forget – staying on top of your asthma preventer medicine and hayfever nasal sprays can help keep your asthma symptoms in check! 🌿🐾
