YEAR 7
Year 7 Key Information:
- Year 7 HPL English students recently participated in a 'Poetry in Action' workshop designed to bring poetry to life and improve understanding of topics and aesthetic features. Using movement and creativity, students recreated their understanding of the poems studied. This is just another example of the exceptional opportunities at St Mary’s!
- A reminder that student attendance is key to student success at school; please ensure that all absences from school are explained appropriately and, where necessary, a medical certificate is provided. In the event of an extended absence, please contact the school via the main office or your child’s PG mentor with the relevant details. In this case, students should also contact their subject teachers to catch up on any missed work.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS
This week, we saw an incredible number of students across all year levels receive either a Principal's Award or a College Medallion.
136 Principal's Awards were presented to students who have previously received four Head of Year Awards, while impressively, 11 College Medallions were also awarded to students who have previously received four Principal's Awards, which is an outstanding achievement!
Students are recognised and awarded for consistently working hard across all aspects of the College and by demonstrating our Five Guiding Principles: Dignity, Empathy, Dialogue, Community and Perseverance.
We look forward to celebrating further success over the final term of 2024. We encourage students to keep up the fantastic work and strive for success.
