Student Voice : Heights Campus
We are at the end of Term 3 and it's been a busy term filled with lots of exciting events. We have had the whole school swimming program, which everyone has been enjoying and are learning a lot of new skills. Since we have come to the end of the program, all the students have been rewarded with a fun day!
On the last day of school, we had Footy Colours Day. On this day children wore a sporting team's jersey (eg. AFL, soccer, rugby, basketball, netball) in order to show support for their sport and team. As part of the dressing up, students and staff donated a gold coin that went towards raising money for Kids with Cancer. Students also participated in an activity where the furtherest footy kicked was rewarded with a zooper dooper icy pole! We were excited to see so many students wearing their sport colours.
The MLC classes have had a break from cooking this week due to swimming. However, they took the opportunity to plant some seedlings that will grow over the holidays and into Term 4. They plan to then pick the delicious herbs, vegetables and fruit ready to use in Multicultural Kitchen Cooking classes.
Everyone is excited for the holidays. But a reminder that Term 4 will begin on Monday 7th October. This will be the final term for 2024 and it will be packed with exciting events. It will also be a sad time for the Year 6’s as it is their last term at Primary School. They are already preparing for Graduation which we will have more details for closer to the date! Another HUGE event is our Whole school end of year assembly at the Springvale Town Hall- more details of this special event next term!
Since Spring has begun we remind you to wear a school hat outside. If you need to buy one you can go to the office and buy a hat for $10. We want to see everyone being sunsmart throughout Term 4! We hope everyone enjoys their holidays and remember to be safe when on-line. https://www.esafety.gov.au/
