Snapshots from Springvale Campus
The highlight of the last fortnight has definitely been the swimming program at Dandenong Oasis. Our students have had the opportunity to dive into learning - both in and out of the pool to develop their water safety skills. Here are some of the exciting things they have been learning about:
- Skill Development: At the swimming pool the students have been making tremendous progress with their swimming abilities and thier confidence in the water. From learning how to float and blow bubbles, to practising and perfecting basic strokes.
- Water Safety Awareness: Back at school in their classroom, the students have also been learning about how to stay safe in and around water.
This week some of our MLC and SLC students represented our school at the recent District Athletics event. This in itself was an amazing achievement but four of our Springvale Campus students have done so well that they have qualified to compete at the Regional Athletics event next term. Congratulations to Dilawar Eshaq, Shohib Shohib, Haris Asama and Jamil Esmeil on this amazing result. We wish you all the best at this next phase of the competition!
As we approach the end of Term 3, we are also thrilled to reflect on all the incredible achievements and learning experiences that have taken place over the past few months. Our students have shown great enthusiasm and dedication in their learning and we are very proud of all the hard work and progress every single student has made. We encourage you to ask your child about their learning at school and celebrate their achievements with them. Here are some recent learning highlights from different learning centres.
We look forward to more exciting activities and learning opportunities in Term 4. Wishing everyone a wonderful end to the term and a relaxing break before we dive into the final term of the year!
Warm regards,
Mrs Mirela Karup
