Music Immersion Program

Our recent Music Immersion Program was highly successful and provided a rich and inspiring experience for participating students. Designed to challenge and extend our musicians, the program offered a valuable opportunity for students to develop their performance skills, musical confidence, and leadership capacity within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Throughout the immersion, students took part in intensive rehearsals, workshops, and ensemble activities, allowing them to refine both individual technique and group musicianship. These experiences play an important role in nurturing our future music leaders while fostering a strong culture of excellence and commitment within the music program.

The immersion culminated in a series of outstanding performances on Saturday evening, showcasing the students’ hard work, growth, and enthusiasm. The concert was a highlight for families and staff and demonstrated the high level of dedication and artistry developed throughout the program.

Sincere thanks are extended to all staff involved in the Music Immersion Program—from planning and supervision to mentoring and performance preparation. Your dedication ensured the experience was both rewarding and memorable for our students.

Camps and Experiential Learning

Next week, a large number of students will participate in off‑campus learning opportunities, including the Annual Cadet Camp, Service‑Learning Camp, and Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journey.

These programs play a vital role in developing students’ resilience, teamwork, leadership, and independence beyond the classroom. Through personal challenge, service, and community engagement, students gain valuable life skills and meaningful learning experiences.

Students are reminded to prepare thoroughly and check all relevant details on the Hub, including departure information, equipment lists, and expectations.

We wish all students well for these upcoming experiences and thank our dedicated staff for their time, care, and commitment to experiential learning.

NAPLAN Acknowledgement

Recently, our Year 7 and Year 9 students completed their NAPLAN assessments, an important national measure of student learning and progress. Coordinating these online assessments requires careful organisation, reliable technical support, and a calm, supportive environment.

Sincere thanks to Mrs Michelle Thompson, Academic Administrator, the team of academic staff and IT support for ensuring the assessments ran smoothly and efficiently. The professionalism, reassurance, and encouragement provided by staff played an important role in supporting students during this process.

Thank you to everyone involved for your care and expertise in supporting our students.
