Click Go Year 2! 

Year 2 have been reading the storybook Pete the Sheep in class. As part of this experience they learned the traditional folk song Click Go the Shears in Music class. Students split into two groups, the first kept the beat on the guiro whilst the second group created a simple tapping stick ostinato for the chorus. 

We thought they did a shear-iously good job! 

Clickin’ with the Kinders!

Kindergarten students have been taking a musical trip around the world in Music class. Most recently we have been to Argentina and Spain, exploring instruments from these countries, singing songs in Spanish and dancing to a traditional Spanish folk tune. Students made their own castanets using bottle top lids and explored the different sounds their instruments made, playing loud, quiet, fast and slow.
