Assistant Principal's

Report

With just two weeks to go until the end of term, we are looking forward to a busy and exciting finish!

Harmony Day Celebration

A big thank you to students, staff and families who all helped to make our Harmony Day celebration on Friday such a success! A special thank you to the students of our Junior School Council Executive for preparing and delivering the Harmony Day assembly, with support from teachers Brad and Nick. Our gratitude extends to our staff leaders, Brittany and Amy, for preparing and sharing fantastic resources that supported student learning about multiculturalism, inclusion, and tolerance.

What a marvellous display of kindness, resilience and respect!

Planning Days, Curriculum Day & End-of-Term Routines

Over the next two weeks, our teachers will be engaged in planning for Term 2. While this means some adjustments to class timetables, we will continue to prioritise structured routines to support our students. Adjustments, including the planning days, are as follows:

Week 9

Monday - 3/4s

Tuesday - 5s and 6s

Wednesday -  1/2s

Thursday - Prep

Friday - Curriculum (Student-free) Day

Week 10

Monday - Specialist planning

Friday - Early finish for students

Community Engagement

It's an exciting time in our community with lots happening in and around the school! We have our rescheduled Working Bee this coming Sunday from 10am to 1pm, and we are very excited to announce that we will be holding a Colour Fun Run on the 7th of May! Students will be working in class groups to raise funds and can register for Sponsorships via the Go Raise it platform.

Please make sure to read the Community Engagement Newsletter for all the details about the working bee, Colour Fun Run, and the winner of the FNPS 150th Design Competition!

As we approach the final days of Term 1, we appreciate the continued support of our families in engaging with our community and supporting a smooth and positive finish for all children.

Thank you for being part of our wonderful school community!
