Farewell Chaplain Justine

From our Chapel Prefect, Amelia Gachie:

Today, we say farewell to someone who has become such an integral part of our school community—Chaplain Justine. As many of you may know by now, Chaplain Justine has been called to serve as the Archdeacon of Perth. A role that is a testament to her dedication, faith, and her commitment to building the strong and welcoming school community that we are familiar with today.

For the past two years, I have had the privilege of working closely with Chaplain Justine—first as a sacristan alongside the other sacristans and the Chapel Council, and now as Chapel Prefect. Throughout this time, I have seen firsthand the kindness, wisdom, and constant support that she offers to everyone she meets. She is not just a chaplain, but a mentor, a guide, and a true example of what it means to live out faith in action.

One of the things that has always stood out to me is Chaplain Justine’s deep passion for building a strong and welcoming school community. She has always encouraged us to be people of kindness, integrity, and compassion through her messages in Chapel, no matter our background or beliefs. She sees each student as a valued part of our school, and has worked so hard to create a space where everyone feels supported and included. Through her words and actions, she has shown us what it means to be part of something bigger than ourselves whether that’s through faith, service, or simply looking out for one another.

But beyond Chaplain Justine’s passion for ministry, what I will miss most is the kind and caring nature she brings to everything she does. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, sharing words of encouragement, or simply being present, she has shown all of us here what true servant leadership looks like. A servant leader leads with humility, putting others first and uplifting those around them. They don’t seek recognition or power but lead with a genuine desire to serve and support others. Chaplain Justine embodies this in every way.

Her presence in our school has been a blessing, and she will definitely be missed, but we know that she will continue to inspire and guide others in her new role just as she has done here. On behalf of the school community, thank you for everything you have done for us. Thank you for your dedication, your wisdom, and your unwavering faith. You have made a big impact on this community, and we are so grateful to have been a part of your journey.

We wish you nothing but the best as you step into this new chapter, and may God continue to bless you as you have blessed us.

Chapel Prefect

Thank you, Chaplain Justine
