Welcome to Term 2!

After a busy Term 1 and well-deserved break, the Preps have transitioned well back into their second term of school. We are looking forward to another term filled with new experiences, including our visit to Bundoora Farm! Other important information and dates have been included above in our Curriculum News.

Term 1 Teddy Bears picnic

At the end of last term, we finished our Teddy Bear’s picnic by having a celebratory picnic with our teddies and our buddies, which was lots of fun!

Writing

During week one, we learned about the importance of ANZAC Day through our mentor text Anzac Ted throughout the week and completed a guided drawing of Anzac Ted that we then wrote about.

Mathematics

We have been learning about addition by joining two parts together to make a whole. So far, we have used number stories using real-life examples, number bonds and ten-frames to show the different parts that make the total when adding numbers together.

PMP

Term two has also seen us begin our PMP (perceptual motor program) in which students complete various motor activities to support their perception of concepts including space, time and orientation.
