2024 ASTA Teacher Awards Nomination

Congratulations to Mr Andrew Harris who has been nominated for an ASTA (Australian Science Teachers Association) Teacher Award. These awards 'recognise outstanding contributions made by classroom teachers to science education to develop inquiry, innovation and ingenuity skills in their students.'

We appreciate Andrew's creative teaching bringing passion into the classroom, especially in all areas of the Science curriculum. Our students are encouraged to develop their curiosity for the world around them through Andrew's teaching.

Toys at School

We ask that students please do not bring toys to school unless they are specifically needed for news talks or there has been prior consultation between the Inclusive Education Coordinator or the class teacher and the parent/caregiver. This helps minimize distractions and ensures a focused learning environment for all students.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Pilgrim School Joins Emmaus Christian College for Easter Celebration

On the lead-up to Easter, the students and staff of Pilgrim School had the wonderful opportunity to join the Emmaus Christian College community for a special Easter celebration at their South Plympton campus.

The event was a meaningful time of worship and reflection, as both school communities came together to honour the death and resurrection of Jesus. The celebration included worship songs led by students, creating a powerful atmosphere of praise and unity. A moving procession of the cross brought the Easter story to life, reminding us of the incredible sacrifice made for us all.

We were also blessed to hear a heartfelt message from Joel Overwheel, who shared a thought-provoking reflection on the significance of Jesus’ resurrection and the hope it brings.

This combined celebration was a beautiful reminder of the shared faith that unites our communities, and a special opportunity to come together in worship, fellowship, and gratitude during this important season.

Dan Warlow Visit

Our school was pleased to welcome Christian music singer-songwriter Dan Warlow for a lively and enjoyable concert on Monday of Week 3. Year 1 to Year 4 students from Emmaus Christian College joined us for the concert. Dan had students on their feet—dancing, clapping, and singing along to his songs. It was a joyful celebration of faith and music!

Discussing Your Child's Progress

At any time, parents are able to chat with their child's class teacher about their child's progress. Parents can email teachers directly to arrange a time to get together.

Scripture Union Primary Aged Club (SUPA Club)

Would you be interested in volunteering once a week to help be part of an inter-church after school SUPA Club working with Scripture Union. There is a need for more team members and especially someone who could take a lead with this group.

This is an opportunity for a Campus kids club that will be open to students from Nativity, Thiele and Pilgrim Schools. The club will include games, food, craft, stories and sharing a Christian message.

Are you able to commit to giving a Tuesday afternoon from 3 - 5pm once a week? The hope is to start the club for Term 3.

If you are interested, could you please contact Chris Battistuzzi from Scripture Union.
