News

Dear Parents,

I  begin by recognising the sacred ground we are walking on , the traditional custodians of the land and the people past, present and future who will walk on our wonderful country.

Pope Francis asks for our global community to discover and implement common solutions to bring hope for all of the world and for people to be on a pathway to ensure peace and love in the world.

One world, one people, our common home

Humanity has the ability to work together for the common good- everything is connected - all creatures, all nature and all humans and Pope Francis asks that  because everything is connected each must be treated with love and respect.

Our theme for this week is showing gratitude, kindness and compassion. When I reflect on happenings both around the world and in our country this week, I urge  our wonderful community to keep focussed on humanity.

Our Catholic Social teachings and social expectations in our school are:

  • Follow in the footsteps of Jesus,
  • Believe everyone can achieve success,
  • Be responsible for your choices,
  • Respect the dignity and individuality of everyone,
  • Work with others for the common good of all,
  • See a need and take action.

May we lead the way with our daily actions being role models to our students to always have a focus on the vulnerable and disadvantaged both in our country and in the world and to focus on peace and love providing a voice for every person to flourish and shine in all they set out to do.

Please get behind our parent social and fundraising committee and support our upcoming event this Saturday. They have done a fantastic job of setting up a wonderful night. We have a band, trivia and games and our wonderful student Art work will be on display for us all to view and celebrate. We need your support and can not go ahead with the night without at least 60 people in attendance.

Ticket sales are slow and so I urge you to gather a few friends even outside of our school community and support the night.

Part of our theme for this week is saying thank you. On Monday 30th of October we will have ‘Hats off to our staff day”. On this day students can wear an alternative hat and we ask that they write a little note to their teachers, leaders, support staff and admin team.

Yours in Partnership,

Gab
