Principal’s Message

Mrs Katherine Baird

Hello Sacred Heart family members,

Welcome to the first week back to school after a couple of weeks away from the usual school-based routine. I trust you all got what you needed from the break, whether it was visiting family or friends that you haven’t seen in a while, doing a spring clean, or even just finding some time to read that book that’s been staring at you for months!

Mrs Baird is currently on leave and in her absence, Mrs Kathlene Fenton will be Acting Principal.  I will be at Sacred Heart as co-Acting Principal until Wednesday this week so I can provide a smooth handover to Mrs Fenton.

I would like to say that I appreciate all of your support during this period and highly recommend Sacred Heart as a welcoming and caring school, led by committed and highly capable staff and filled with a loving and supportive parent (and extended family) body.

This week we welcome Miss Grace Monaghan to our staff. Miss Monaghan will be teaching in the K-2 space, replacing Miss Morrissey who is currently on her final teaching practicum. We are delighted to have Grace join us and look forward to showing her around our beautiful school. I invite you to introduce yourselves to Grace when you’re next at school.

Welcome, Grace!

I pray that you all have a safe and enjoyable Term 4 and wish you all the best for the future ahead.

Happy birthday to Harry (Transition) who turned 5 last Wednesday, to Ellie who celebrates her 9th birthday today and to Mrs Roseby who will enjoy her special day on Sunday 15th October.

Kind regards

Mal Frend

Co-Acting Principal
