Year 10 Food Technology – Healthy Dish Design Task
Year 10 Food Technology students completed a design task this term. They needed to plan and produce a dish aligning with the design brief specifications. The dish needed to contain a wide variety of nutritious ingredients that reflected the recommendations of the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating.
Students had great success, producing a variety of dishes such as chicken katsu, sweet and sour pork, seafood spaghetti marinara and kimchi pork stew. Well done to all students.
VM MasterChef Challenge – Celebrating Community
The Year 11 Personal Development Vocational Major students completed a MasterChef challenge this term. As a class they were set the challenge to produce a range of finger foods which represented the cultural diversity of the class. The foods were shared with members of staff from the College, building connections between VM and the school community. Students worked collaboratively to produce a range of dishes manoushe, bruschetta and baklava. Well done to all involved.
