Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members,

We are thrilled to share the highlights of our recent end-of-term whole-school Expo, a remarkable event that showcased our students' dedication, creativity, and passion for learning.

Despite Melbourne's unpredictable weather, our Expo was a resounding success, thanks to the unwavering support of our school community.

The day began with our enchanting choirs, whose uplifting song choices set a perfect tone for the event. The students' performances were heartwarming, and the resounding applause from the live audience filled the air with excitement.

We were honored to have esteemed guests at our Expo, including the Attorney General, the Hon Mark Dreyfus and Meng Heang Tak, State Member for Clarinda. Our Year 6 Captains and Vice Captains did an outstanding job escorting our guests through the Expo, impressing them with their knowledge of each year level's projects.

Our dedicated Parent Association once again delighted everyone with a mouth watering sausage sizzle. The aroma of BBQ wafting through the air brought friends together in the true spirit of the Aussie tradition. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our PA members for their tireless efforts.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the entire community for sharing in our students' learning journey. The enthusiasm in every classroom was palpable, and your presence made the day even more special.

Here are some highlights from each year level's Expo:

Preps: Our budding inventors showcased their understanding of the science of push and pull through mesmerizing marble runs.

Year 1: The minibeast inquiry demonstrated the students' exceptional literacy skills and their ability to present information creatively.

Year 2: "Back to the Future" emphasized the importance of investigating the past to reflect on its impact on our lives today.

Year 3: "Moonlight Sanctuary" highlighted how students applied their knowledge to design enclosures and environments.

Year 4: The passionate students focused on the inquiry into wild animals, spreading the message of protecting endangered species.

Year 5: An exploration of Australian history shed light on the events that have shaped our country today, promoting a deeper understanding of our past.

Year 6: The ethical inquiry deepened students' knowledge of the impact of famous and controversial figures on the past and present, with thought-provoking documentaries.

Our Expo was a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our students and educators. We couldn't be prouder of their achievements and the support we received from our wonderful community.

Thank you for being a part of this extraordinary event and we look forward to more exciting endeavours in the future.

Have a wonderful break and we look forward to our students sharing their learning next term.
