Love of Reading Excursion

On Tuesday, a bus load of Stage 3 students were the first school to visit the new town library at Yarrila Place. The Love of Reading excursion was for students who have a love of reading and completed their Home Learning Journal.

Students got to tour the new spaces at Yarrila, including the library, museum and art gallery. Students received their Coffs Library borrowing cards and many borrowed for the first time. Did you know, you can borrow up to 30 books at a time!

The excursion was a great experience with many students asking about returning again soon with their families. Thank you Emma and Ash at Yarrila Place for such an awesome outing!

Mathemagicians - Toormina High School

Last week, our budding 'mathemagicians' returned to Toormina High School to be challenged by the magic of maths! Students joined Crossmaglen Public School in completing a range of spatial awareness challenges before learning a new favourite game - The Pirate Game!

Thank you, Toormina High School for hosting such an engaging workshop and for transporting us in your minibus! Students will return a third time early next term before coming together with all the local schools in a maths olympiad style day!

Home Learning - Mathematics

Congratulations to the lucky 6G students who drew a prize for excellent efforts in home learning for Maths. They received a $20 voucher to be spent at the Book Warehouse, just in time for holidays!
