Art Exhibition


On Wednesday the 11th of October,  EMC presented the Jaki Upward Art Exhibition.

 

On display were works from the following subjects:

 

Year 12 Art Creative Practice

Year 11 Art Creative Practice

Year 12 Visual Communication and Design

Year 11 Visual Communication and Design

VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology- 1st Year

VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology- 2nd Year

 

Jaki Upward is a former student who passed away in 2003 from a condition known as Haemolytic Uremic Syndrome. Jaki was a passionate and dedicated Arts and Technology student and found much joy in the creative process.  

 

Each year we celebrate achievements of our students through the Jaki Upward Art Exhibition and acknowledge individual excellence by presenting the overall winner with the Jaki Upward Memorial Award which was selected by visiting Judge Sarah Lyons from Bunjil Place in Narre Warren.

 

This year the award was given to Year 12 VCE Art Creative Practice student Jess Gurney for her piece called: Yuki.

The People's Choice award, voted by the exhibition attendees on the night, was awarded to Ee Sun Chia, also a Year 12 VCE Art Creative Practice student, for her work titled:  

Crane Mountain Paradise
